Formed by in 2004 by Foo Fighters/Me First and the Gimme Gimmes guitarist Chris Shiflett, Jackson United features guitarist Doug Sangalang, bassist Scott Shiflett, of Face to Face fame & drummer Joe Kid of Mighty Mighty Bosstones (so new, in fact, that he didn't play on the album). Backed by the sure fire beat of Foo Fighter bandmates Dave Grohl (Nirvana) and Taylor Hawkins, who shared drumming duties for the Harmony And Dissedence sessions, Jackson United deliver fast-paced, guitar driven anthems reminiscent of punk's glory days ala The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers.
